Young Alameda writer turns love of cats into first book (Berkeley Voice – Albany Journal)

Marisa McAdams loves cats. She's always enjoyed reading about them, drawing them and now, at age 11, writing about them. The Chinese Christian Schools sixth grader, with help from her father, has self-published her first book entitled, "The Swimming Cats — The Turkish Van Chronicles."
